IBM Guardium Training familiarizes you with data security techniques to enable you secure sensitive data across differing environments including databases, big data, cloud and file systems.
This course will teach you how to perform vulnerability assessment, and how to monitor data and file activity as well as to create reports, audits, alerts, metrics, and compliance oversight processes.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
IBM Guardium User Audience Database administrators, security administrators, security analysts, security technical architects, and professional services using IBM Guardium.
Prerequisites: Before taking this course, a working knowledge of SQL queries for IBM DB2 and other databases is required. It is also required to have working knowledge of UNIX commands, familiarity with data protection standards such as HIPAA and CPI Objectives: Identify the primary functions of IBM Guardium as well as key Guardium architecture components.
Creation of Virtual Machines using ESXI Install and Configure Guardium appliances ( CM, Aggregators, Collectors) on Virtual Machines Patch Guardium Appliances Install the Guardium GIM/STAP agents on Database servers ( Linux & Windows) Navigate the Guardium user interface and command line interface is also required.ÂÂ
You will learn how to configure Guardium V10 to discover, classify and anylze, protect, and control access to sensitive data.

Dr. Didian Tsongwain is an Information Technology Consultant with over 16 years of technical hands-on experienc, both in the classroom and in the field of work. He started off as an Oracle Database Administrator and offered consulting services for several Federal agencies including the United States Department of Commerce and the United States Department of Environment. Dr. Tsongwain has spent the last 10 years working as a data security architect for several organizations including Wells Fargo Bank, Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, Bank of America, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna HealthCare and currently a Data Security Architect with IBM where he focuses on the implementation of IBM Guardium.
